Frequently asked questions
What does a service visit cost?
Mobile service and the first hour are $265. That includes travel within our standard service area, arrival, initial diagnosis, and up to one hour of technician time. After the first hour, labor is $165/hour, billed in 15-minute increments. Parts, replacement components, shop supplies, and materials are billed separately, and applicable taxes are added where required.
Will you do extra work without asking me?
No. We explain what we find, discuss the repair options, and obtain your approval before proceeding beyond the authorized work.
Do you charge extra for travel or after-hours service?
Travel within our standard service area is included. Outside it, additional travel charges may apply, and you’ll know the travel charge before we dispatch. Evening, weekend, and urgent-service rates may differ; pricing is confirmed before the appointment.
Do you handle manufacturer warranty work?
Warranty work is billed according to the applicable manufacturer or warranty administrator’s authorization and reimbursement terms.
What types of RVs do you work on?

How do I schedule a visit?
Call, text, or send the service request form with your RV details, photos and preferred appointment window. Requested times aren't confirmed until we contact you to confirm your service date and arrival window.
What should I send before the visit?
Your RV's year, make and model, where it's parked, what's happening (including any error codes and what you've already tried), and up to 5 photos. The more detail you provide, the better prepared we can be for the first visit.
What are your hours?
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM. Weekend service is available by appointment; evening, weekend, and urgent-service rates may differ and are confirmed before the appointment.
What if my problem isn't on your services list?
Tell us what's happening. Additional RV systems are evaluated individually, and if a job is outside our service scope, we'll tell you before work begins.
Are you certified and insured?
Yes. Tim holds NRVTA/RVTAA Advanced RV Technician and Advanced Solar certifications, with certified training from Aqua-Hot (AIRXCEL), Victron Energy and Firefly Integrations. Gaining Ground is an RVTAA member and carries business insurance.
